Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Loan Calculator Pro ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to transparency and adherence to Apple's App Store Guidelines.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide and improve our service, maintain your data across devices, and offer a free version of the App, we use certain third-party services which may collect information about you.
A. Account & Authentication Data
If you choose to create an account, we collect:
- Email Address: Used for logging in, password resets, and account management.
- Name / Username: Used for displaying your profile in the App.
- Saved Calculations: If you explicitly choose to save a calculation, the input parameters of that calculation are synced to our secure cloud database so you can access them on other devices.
If you sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google according to Google's policies in addition to this Policy.
If you use the app as a Guest, none of your financial calculations leave your device.
Service Provider: We use Supabase for secure authentication and cloud database management.
B. Advertising Data
To support the free version of the App, we serve advertisements. These ads are provided by third-party advertising partners who may collect device identifiers and usage data.
- Service Provider: Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob uses mobile ad identifiers (such as Apple's advertising identifier, IDFA) to serve personalized ads when permitted, or non-personalized ads when required or when you decline tracking.
- Regional consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions): Where required by law, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), together with consent or privacy messages you may see that are configured for our app in the Google AdMob (or related Google) privacy and messaging tools. That flow may appear before personalized advertising is enabled.
- In-app choices: After the consent flow has run, eligible users can open additional Google ad privacy options from the App under Settings → Ad Privacy & Consent when that option is available.
- System opt-out: You can also manage tracking for all apps in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking menu.
C. Analytics and Attribution
We use analytics tools to understand how users find our App and interact with it, helping us improve the user experience.
- Service Provider: Meta (Facebook) App Events. Meta may collect data regarding your app install and usage events to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Use of identifiers and data for advertising and measurement is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency choices and applicable platform settings.
D. In-App Purchases
If you choose to upgrade to a Pro Subscription, your purchase is processed securely by Apple via StoreKit.
- We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card information or direct billing details. We only receive an anonymous digital receipt from Apple confirming your subscription status.
2. App Tracking Transparency (iOS) & Subscription Status
Free tier (ad-supported): After the advertising consent flow has completed (including Google's UMP consent information where applicable, and initialization of the Mobile Ads SDK), the App may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt so you can allow or decline tracking across other companies' apps and websites for purposes such as personalized ads and measurement. We sequence these prompts so the consent message is not hidden behind the tracking dialog where possible.
Pro subscription: While your Pro subscription is active, we do not run the same ad consent and Mobile Ads initialization path used for the free tier, and we do not show the ATT prompt in our App flow during that time. If you cancel Pro and return to the free tier, you may see the consent and ATT flows again as needed for an ad-supported experience.
If you select "Ask App Not to Track," we rely on Apple's framework and instruct our advertising and analytics partners (including Google AdMob and Meta) accordingly for tracking-related uses covered by ATT.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information and synced calculations only for as long as your account is active.
Your Right to Deletion:
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- Open the App.
- Go to Settings → Account → Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
This immediately and permanently removes your user profile and all saved calculations from our servers.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to remove such information from our servers immediately.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
